Do you identify as a therapist, coach, acupuncturist, reiki practitioner, intuitive healer, teacher, first responder, or simply as someone who “helps others”? Have you become so used to tending to their needs that you often put yourself last? Your energy is probably drained! Maybe you even feel anxious, overwhelmed, sad, depressed, physically ill - and so much more - and you wonder how much more you have left to give. Helpers like us are a special breed, we really are. Chances are, if you are a helper, that you are highly sensitive and in tune with the world around you. You are probably sensitive to the moods of others, aware of subtle changes in your environment and you likely have a rich, inner world. You might even be an HSP, or “Highly Sensitive Person”, like me. This is trait is a wonderful gift (after all, it is one of the reasons why you are so so good at what you do) but it also comes with some challenges. You might become overstimulated more easily than others, which means you also need more time to be alone and recharge. I get it. Whatever your challenges, I am here for you. As a therapist who, herself, benefits from the support and guidance of an amazing therapist, I understand the challenges you face. It took me years, and many failed attempts, to find the right fit. I knew what I wanted and began to feel that I might never find “my person”. But I did. And so will you.
