I’m an LCPC who specializes in working collaboratively with parents and caregivers of children and young adults. My work emphasizes helping parents reduce anxiety and challenging behaviors in their children. I was trained at the Yale Child Study Center in the SPACE approach. Besides young children, this approach has also been proven effective for parents of young adults having difficulty launching into their adult lives. For parents of young children ages 2-7 years old with behavior and social-emotional challenges, I’m a certified provider of Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). I guide parents using bug-in-the ear parent coaching into more satisfying interactions with their little ones. Using Integrative Attachment Family Therapy combined with Emotion Focused Therapy, caregivers are helped to learn how to identify and support both their own emotions as well as their child’s. For adults living with depression, anxiety, life stage transition, and relationship challenges, I use ACT, CBT, ICBT and metacognitive approaches. Adjunctively I routinely use mindfulness-based interventions, experiential and expressive modalities that can help spark insight and form new connections.
