Introduction

If you are having relational issues, have experienced trauma, or are currently experiencing depression or anxiety, contact me for a free consult. I have experience working with adolescents, adults and couples. I am trained in EMDR and utilize this method in my trauma work. In addition, I am trained to work with couples via both Gottman Therapy (Level 1 and 2) and Emotion Focused Therapy. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy among other methods for clients experiencing anxiety and depression. I have worked with adolescents and parents in the school system for over 17 years as a school counselor, and have held my LPC license for over 15 years. I am an LPC supervisor. I enjoy working with adolescents, helping them to work through their issues, ranging from underachieving to relationship conflict (and everything in between). I also enjoy working with adults, helping them to understand their roles as parents so that they are better able to help support their children in a positive, healthy manner. In addition to parenting, I also provide marriage and family counseling. My experience is with adolescents and adult issues, including anxiety, grief, relationships, suicidal ideation, depression, anger, trauma and family conflict. I help couples and families work through their differences, gain awareness and perspective, strengthen communication, thereby improving the relationship. Often those who are hurting need an empathetic ear, compassion and understanding as well as new coping skills. My goal is to help the hurting find joy and hope through talk and appropriate treatment so they can enjoy their life. I provide flexible scheduling, including daytime, evening and weekend appointments. I am very client centered and solution focused.
