WELCOME TO MY PRACTICE! I would like to share a bit about myself and my therapeutic approach. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist, California license #87266. There is a plethora of available experienced psychotherapists in town, with similar training but we differ in how we practice. I am able to collaborate and work closely with physicians, education professionals and other mental health professionals to provide carefully tailored comprehensive treatment. In my work with children, teens, individuals, and families alike, I take a biopsychosocial approach. And treatment is focused and informed by attachment-based theory, from which I access strength based and client centered, trauma informed, and evidence-based techniques. Private practice allows me the flexibility to provide optimum results by addressing all the concerns at hand to best serve you and your family. I am amiable to collaborating with your treating professionals in order to best meet your goals. I have worked as an outpatient provider in private practice setting, and as a psychotherapist in a milieu of settings. Together these experiences have provided me the opportunity to understand both private and county healthcare systems and have allowed for well-rounded exposure of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, difficulty of transitions in each developmental stage, complexities with medical chronic illnesses and trauma. My theoretical orientation is primarily based in psychodynamic psychotherapy and family systems modalities. My therapeutic approach while treating individuals and families is through understanding that the client may become aware of their full potential through mindfulness, trauma informed, attachment and evidence-based perspective. My primary purpose is to support individuals and families in building upon their strengths while accessing their resilience and innate capacity to thrive interdependently outside the therapeutic atmosphere.
