Janelle believes that the client/therapist relationship is of utmost importance in session and seeks to create a safe and non-judgmental environment. Through this, her goals for clients include helping them gain knowledge, become self-reflective, self-compassionate, and to develop coping skills to enhance emotional well-being. She realizes how difficult it can be to shed light in dark corners and commends clients for their vulnerability and strength. She has special interests working with older teens and young adults, as well as individuals of all ages who have been victims of emotional abuse. Don't worry if you aren't in these categories, she will be just as eager to work with you! She also works with women, men, families, couples, and groups to treat mental illnesses and various life adjustments. Lastly, she appreciates the 'universal language' of humor and authenticity.
