My name is Jane Webb, and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and mother of two daughters in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. I came to this work after becoming a mother and completing a doctorate in sociology. With gratitude for what both experiences taught me, I turned to therapeutic practice to support others learning about themselves and the world. Through motherhood as much as through study and research, I have learned that we can love and heal—and that growing pains can be more than physical for all of us. I work with adults, couples, and families who face challenges related to the stress of modern living as well as traumatic experiences, including complex trauma histories. My clients often come to me with symptoms of anxiety, depression, and posttraumatic stress. I have experience in helping clients with family conflicts, trauma and abuse, parenting, and coping with grief and loss. I have the honor of getting to learn about my clients' stories and how they want to live their lives. The most exciting parts of my work are the moments when a client understands themselves and their experiences just a little differently and those insights enable them to live with more freedom and authenticity. Small shifts within ourselves lead to big changes in our day-to-day lives. You can find me here as a rostered Child-Parent Psychotherapy provider: https://childtrauma.ucsf.edu/cpp-provider-roster SERVICES Individual: All sorts of things can bring us to individual therapy–life changes, shifting relationships, career challenges, loss. Often adjustments lead us to wonder about how we got to where we are and how we want to go forward. In individual therapy sessions, we will have the opportunity to think about your story in new ways. Couples: We look to our romantic relationships for safety, connection, adventure, and companionship. In relationships we have spoken and unspoken needs, and desires. I look forward to supporting you in building the type of partnership that supports the growth of each of you and your relationship. Family: The many facets of family relationships hold possibility for both connection and conflict. Whether your family faces challenges related to parenting or coparenting, sibling dynamics, or blending or aging families, we can use family sessions to find a path forward. LOCATION I offer both telehealth and in-person therapy. I have in-person availability on Sundays and telehealth availability throughout the week. Please contact me for details on scheduling accommodations.
