Introduction

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Interpersonal, Public and Cultural Communications followed by my Master of Arts degree in Counseling from the University of South Florida. I have worked as a School Counselor in Hillsborough County for over 10 years providing mental health services to students. With over a decade of mental health experience, I am privileged to extend my services into the community. My areas of expertise include individuals struggling with anxiety, life transitions, emotional dysregulation, grief, emotional intelligence, teaching social skills, establishing coping skills, and creating confidence and motivation. Additionally, I am well trained on career counseling and advisement in creating a path to a career a client can be passionate about. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) along with other therapeutic modalities and techniques to assist clients in retraining their brains and regaining control of their thoughts to put them on a path to thriving where they can empower themselves. The goal is to teach clients skills that they can utilize to improve the quality of their life. There is no "one size fits all" strategy of counseling, so I get to know my client and assess what strategy fits them and their situation.
