Jamie was raised on a dairy farm in New Jersey where she learned the traditional family values and importance of hard work. After High School, she attended East Stroudsburg University, just outside of Philadelphia, where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies. After graduating in 2006, she moved to the Volusia County area where she became interested in the mental health profession. She worked as a case manager while as she attended Webster University for her Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Jamie has worked in community mental health for over 10 years – starting out as a case manager and working her way up to Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Jamie attended Capella University in advanced graduate studies to become a Registered Play Therapist. She strives to advance her expertise in mental health issues. She is a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional, a Body Focused Repetitive Behaviors Specialist with the TLC Foundation, as well as a Qualified Supervisor. Her greatest passion is bringing a sense of healing to adults or children who have been through a traumatic/stressful experience. Jamie helps empower her clients who include children, adolescents, adults and families, to find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships so they can know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe.
