Jamie Heimos is a Licensed Professional Counselor, former school counselor and former certified child life specialist. She is a graduate from University of Missouri–St. Louis with a Master’s degree in education in Counseling and Missouri State University with her Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development with an emphasis in Child Life Services and minor in Psychology. Jamie applies her knowledge and experiences in both the education and hospital systems to help with children, adolescents and young adults. She specializes in ages 3 through 25 and utilizes play therapy and expressive therapies in her approach. She has several years of experience navigating the special education system and helping parents and families navigate the challenges of IEPs and 504s. Jamie is a mom, wife, mental health advocate and LGBTQIA+ ally. In her free time, she enjoys cycling, hiking, photography, reading a variety of books, spending time with her wonderful family including her daughter and dog, Murphy.
