Jamie is a graduate of Columbia University, where she received her Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Advanced Clinical Practice. Jamie is licensed to practice in New York State. Jamie received training in various evidenced-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Jamie’s direct clinical practice began working with women who experienced domestic violence in the preventive care system in Manhattan. Jamie spent time working in an outpatient treatment setting for individuals with substance use disorders, mood disorders, and complex trauma. Jamie has also contributed to the opening and program development of a recovery house for young adults in Manhattan, where she worked as the Assistant Program Director. Jamie’s clinical passion began with treating substance and alcohol use disorders. Jamie continued to develop a deeper understanding for the construct of addiction as a whole and has grown to treat multifarious addicted related concerns including food, sex, love, and pornography. Additionally, Jamie is a Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT), and works with women who have experienced betrayal trauma due to sex, love, and pornography addiction. Jamie takes a person centered, trauma informed, and holistic approach when working with individuals. Jamie seeks to develop a strong therapeutic alliance in an effort to increase a sense of self-worth, and prosperity. Jamie is a firm believer in radical genuineness, which creates space for healthy exploration of intimacy with the self and within relationships.
