Hey what's up! My name is jamie (they/them), and I'm a counselor seeing folks in Texas. I am a trans clinician who is interested in those who have climate anxiety, queer and trans concerns, and those who have felt marginalized by the mental health industry. Have you ever been made to feel like you needed to fixed? Is it you that needs to be fixed or do we need to change the material and social circumstances that currently prevent us from healing? I want to hear your story and how you might imagine a better, more restorative world to look like. Activism is an important part of the work that I do as a counselor, and it is in my belief that the mental health industry needs substantial changes to more effectively serve the diversity of its people. I believe part of these changes requires the integration of traditional methods of healing as well as the advent of other inclusive forms of healing.
