Overview For more than a decade I have been counseling clients with a variety of mental, emotional, relational, and spiritual health struggles from a wide spectrum of personalities and life experiences. Each counseling experience brings challenges and victories. I consider it an honor and privilege to come alongside individuals or couples in need- to help in the healing process through processing trauma, identifying and replacing harmful and self-sabotaging patterns of behavior with restorative ones, providing mediation and advocacy, and offering compassion and accountability. I have a special focus on and passion for marriage counseling. I have also invested a great deal in those struggling with anxiety and depression, trauma and PTSD, including military and civil servants, and those struggling with a lack of direction and purpose in life. It is my love of Christ that drives me to meet each person where they are and to walk alongside them toward healing. What Can clients expect to take away from sessions? Clients will first and foremost find an open and compassionate space to tell their stories, both past and present, and through doing so begin identifying trauma and patterns of behavior that are affecting them in the now. This process allows us to enter the struggle together, and to set up a foundation upon which healing can begin. Treatment methods and tools utilized My methods are integrated, informed both by my faith and proven practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness approaches, dialectical behavioral therapy, family dynamics theories, Gottman Marriage Principles, mediation, and physical aspects of wellness. Explain your areas of strength I do not believe that a person’s struggles define them. Struggle is a part of the human experience that when undertaken in a mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually healthy way leads ever deeper toward healing. It is this starting point in the reality of struggle that I believe makes me especially able to help clients build lifelong foundations that form life giving patterns of existence extending far beyond the individual and reaching into families and communities. Specialties My specialties include marriage and family counseling, anxiety, depression, and behavior modification.
