Introduction

Hi! Are you looking for a therapy experience that is different from what you see on TV or in movies? Do you dislike the idea of talking to somebody in a suit and tie? I did too. That is why I offer a relaxed, fun, and even a little bit irreverent style of therapy that encourages you to just be you. And I never wear a suit and tie. I specialize in Substance Abuse, Anxiety, Stress, Self-Esteem, and Coping Skills. I love working with adults who want to do something about substance use, anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem because when you begin to see changes in yourself, I get to see you be the person you want to be. I believe my role is to help you become the best version of you. I'm a disabled Veteran in long-term recovery from alcohol and cocaine abuse after years of addiction, homelessness, & mental health issues. I've used mental health services and am personally aware of the stigma that comes with asking for help. I understand asking for help takes strength, courage, and desire to be your best self. I'm here to help, not judge. I have been practicing since 2008. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with certifications in the treatment of drug and alcohol abuse, anxiety, and the use of telehealth in therapy. My therapeutic style is Eclectic. I use several therapy models including CBT, Solution-Focused, and Strengths-based. Former clients have said my sessions are encouraging, inspirational, "always honest" and they leave each session with a lot of encouragement to keep going.
