Jameka Bell started as a mentor and advocate for youth and worked her way up as she continued to earn her M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has experience working with families and individuals dealing with homelessness and mental health issues such as schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and personality and mood disorders. Her work began as a mentor and advocate for youth in low-income communities and expanded to case management work at a mental health service organization. She has experience working in residential and Youth in Transitional Housing, as well as providing individual and family therapy using an eclectic approach to serve the needs of each individual client. She believes every person can reach a realm of self-actualization and has the answers to what they seek. Jameka’s approach is warm, understanding, and welcoming. Her goal is to provide a safe space for clients to embrace their therapeutic journey. Jameka is currently licensed as an LGPC in D.C. and Resident in Counseling in VA.
