I am a licensed caring and compassionate clinical social worker with 20 + years of experience serving children, adolescents and adults. When people experience significant life stressors or trauma, their lives often begin to unravel and they find it difficult to function. I specialize in working with individuals struggling with the daily stressors of life, depression, anxiety, and trauma. I’m also passionate about working to improve the social and emotional development of young people, and often work with parents who need support in managing their children’s challenging behaviors. My goal is to equip clients with tools to optimize level of functioning and enhance their overall quality of life. I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental, safe environment and strive to work collaboratively with my clients to cultivate a strong therapeutic relationship. I connect deeply with my clients, helping them to feel heard, understood, and appreciated for who they are at their core; while also offering guidance for positive growth. I enjoy guiding people to identify & carry out their own authentic solutions, find strategies to get their needs met, and foster meaningful, fulfilling relationships. I thrive on educating clients and helping them use safe coping skills to break out of unhealthy patterns, feel empowered & strong. My therapeutic approach is strengths-based and grounded in cognitive behavioral, systems, and person-centered, and resilience theories. I also take a trauma-informed and holistic approach to care; integrating strategies for the mind, body, and spirit to promote health & well-being. I support people in articulating their vision for wholeness, and coach them toward achieving their goals. I guide clients to feel grounded & safe, helping them foster a mind-body connection to better navigate life's challenges. In addition, I incorporate the use of mindfulness techniques with clients to foster awareness and a sense of calm in the midst of life's chaos. Through this work I encourage clients to: “Transform their Spirits, Renew their Minds, and Change their Lives”.
