Introduction

Hello! I am so glad you have taken this step in your self care journey! Finding a therapist that you connect with is an important step in your path with therapy. Thank you for taking the time to see if I am the right fit for you! My name is Jackie and I am a Limited Licensed Social Worker (LLMSW) in the state of Michigan. I received my Bachelor’s of Social Work from the University of Michigan-Flint and my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor where I specialized in interpersonal practice in health, mental health, and substance abuse. I have experience working in various settings including high school and university settings, elder care with grief and loss, and emergency departments with crisis intervention. I have worked with youth facing the challenges of COVID-19, through life transitions, with young athletes, and across the spectrum of mental health crises. I believe in transparency and my goal is to build a healthy therapeutic relationship with my clients. I am a client-centered provider and I believe in tailoring my sessions to you and your needs. I want to offer you a safe environment where you can express yourself and accept yourself while facing change. I predominantly utilize a strengths based approach while utilizing techniques of cognitive behavioral therapy. Specifically, while we build the better you that you are working towards, I also want to focus on using what you are already good at!
