Introduction

My overarching goal as your therapist is centered on restoring hope, providing authentic support and empowering you to achieve your personal best. “People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be. When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, 'Soften the orange a bit on the right-hand corner.' I don't try to control a sunset. I watch with awe, as it unfolds.” -Carl R. Rogers *Jacqueline is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and a Licensed Independent Chemical Dependency Counselor. Jacqueline achieved her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. Professionally she has worked in a variety of settings; residential treatment programs, outpatient treatment, a University/College setting. Jacqueline began her counseling and social services field journey working with survivors of domestic violence, who were also dealing with mental health and substance use disorders. Her strong interest in breaking the stigma of addiction has led to working primarily with individuals dealing with substance use disorders, college age and beyond. While her career path has been centered on addiction treatment, she also has experience in anxiety and depressive disorders, trauma, women’s issues, relationships, and has a specific passion for the Military and veteran population. *She works with children, adolescents and adults, on an individual level, as well as offering family and/or couples’ therapy.
