Introduction
My Education and Licensure I received a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from UC Davis in 1994. I returned to school and received a Master of Science in Nutrition from The University of Nevada, Reno in 2003. I received a Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Educational Psychology from The University of Nevada, Reno in 2005 and began working towards my Nevada licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist at that time. In 2007 I was fully licensed as an MFT and in 2013 I became licensed in California as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist). I have continued my education and have completed three years of post Master’s work in Counseling and Educational Psychology. Currently I am licensed in California (MFC 52889), Arizona (LMFT-15863) and Nevada (4460-R) as a Marriage and Family Therapist. For nearly 20 years I have worked with children, adolescents and all stages of adulthood. I truly care about the work that I do and the outcomes that my clients achieve. I believe we all have the capacity for growth and change. I use many modalities and approach clients from a person centered viewpoint. From there we collaboratively decide what direction and modality will work best for you. I welcome communication from my clients about our work together. I primarily work through Telehealth but I also have a small office in Nevada City if in person sessions are preferred.
