Introduction

Everyone's path to healing is unique, and I believe that any help you might need along the way should be specially tailored to you. I use a collaborative, strength-based, person-centered approach where we work together to achieve your goals and create the changes you desire. You deserve to be heard, supported, and empowered in a safe space free from judgment. You are the expert on your own life. I am here to be your ally and helper and treat you with respect, dignity, and unconditional positive regard. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A). I hold an M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with specialties in marriage, couples, and family counseling and forensic counseling. During my 1 year counseling internship, I worked mainly with Texas crime victims, provided therapy for a variety of mental health concerns, and was trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mediation techniques. Prior to that, I obtained 7 years of experience in social work, case management, and mental health related fields. This experience involved familiarizing myself with the situations of families and individuals in order to provide support, resources and referrals, safety planning, action planning and problem solving, skill building programs, education and information, and other services.
