Introduction

Grateful that you have reached me! I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Registered Art Therapist working in the Los Angeles area. I am currently accepting clients for telehealth video sessions in the state of California. If you struggle with anxiety, self-esteem issues, life transitions, and have difficulty trusting in yourself, then you have made it to the right place. I know how painful it can be experiencing chronic self-doubt and worry. In working with my clients, I prioritize entering your world through gaining a deep understanding of what your experiences have felt like and the messages you have internalized about yourself through these experiences. Part of the therapeutic process is in gradually aiding my clients in integrating a new and true way of seeing and feeling themselves, through developing self-compassion, expansive self-understanding, and strengthening their ability to self-regulate. I have specialized experience working with creatives, all gender identities (with a special focus on millennial women), and first-generation adult-children of immigrant parents. I integrate art therapy within a traditional talk therapy approach, although art therapy is optional. Art therapy provides you a mindful space to express your thoughts, emotions, and personal experiences in a way that may touch more on the *feelings* than words can do on their own. No experience in art needed. To learn more about my practice, please visit my website: jackiegtherapy.com and reach out for an initial free consultation. I very much look forward to connecting with you soon.
