Hi, my name is Jackie Anonales, and I am a bilingual psychotherapist at Latinx Talk Therapy, dedicated to supporting the Latinx community through culturally sensitive counseling. With a background in Psychology and Latina/Latino Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and a Masters in Community Counseling from Loyola University in Chicago, I merge academic knowledge with lived experiences to provide holistic and trauma-informed therapy. As a first-generation Latina, I honor the resilience and strength of our community while acknowledging the challenges we face. In therapy, I prioritize your unique experiences, emotions, and cultural background. Together, we navigate through struggles such as anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma, using approaches like CBT and ACT. Having worked in school-based settings, community mental health, and private practice, I bring a diverse range of experiences to my therapy practice. My goal is to walk alongside you on your mental health journey, empowering you to reconnect with yourself and overcome internal and external barriers. Born in East Los Angeles and raised in Illinois by Mexican migrant parents, I embrace my heritage and fluency in Spanish both personally and professionally. Outside of therapy, I enjoy reading, curating playlists, and basking in the sunlight. Let's work together towards your healing and growth. You're not alone—I'm here to help you thrive.
