Introduction

“Shame dies when stories are told in safe places,” writes Ann Voskamp. In my work with clients, I seek to provide that safe place where those stories can begin to be told, healing can begin, and shame can die. I honor my clients’ stories and I value the collaborative relationship so necessary for healing and growth to occur, realizing, in the words of Lysa TerKeurst, that “there is this beautiful thing called imperfect progress – slow steps of progress wrapped in grace.”
