I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Chicago, IL. I received my PhD in Clinical Psychology at University of California, Los Angeles, and completed my American Psychological Association-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. Through my clinical training, I obtained expertise in the assessment and treatment of mood, anxiety, and trauma disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, and relationship distress. I completed my postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I gained specialized research and clinical training in women’s and AFAB’s (Assigned Female at Birth) mental health and, specifically, Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD). My goal is to work collaboratively with clients to strengthen your ability to cope with difficult emotions and to move toward a more joyful and meaningful life. I am conscious of treating clients with the utmost respect and empathy, and I am committed to taking a non-judgmental stance as we work together to accomplish the goals that are most meaningful to you. I believe therapy should focus not only on improving symptoms, but also on improving self-worth, self-understanding, sense of meaning, and the quality your close relationships. My specialties include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, eating disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Prolonged Exposure (PE), & Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT). In addition to private practice, I am a clinical scientist at University of Illinois Chicago, contributing to research on suicidal thoughts and behaviors across the menstrual cycle. My scientific background and ongoing research allow me to identify the factors that are most likely to help clients create meaningful change.
