Introduction

Foremost, thank you and welcome to my website.  My name is Jackie Gonzalez, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have been a practicing therapist for over 26 years. I obtained my Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University in 1996. Throughout my 26 years of working with clients, I have met many, many people with different difficulties in their lives. I notice that the clients that have come to see me, are stuck in making attempts to resolve, change, and create solutions to what is affecting them. With their good intention to change what is impacting them, they perpetuate and reinforce the negative vicious cycle that continues what they don't want. This can create an overwhelming amount of life issues and negative, strong emotions that they are not able to handle.  I want you to know that people who chose to take the step to attend counseling are strong and powerful people, who do not want to continue repeating and staying stuck in what they don't feel good about. People who chose to attend counseling want change in their lives. They want to evolve and become who they truly are, a person who is living their best life.  My style of therapy ranges from Cognitive Behavior, Systemic Therapy, Trauma Based Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy, Positive Therapy, NLP, EMDR, and Reality Based Therapy.  I use numerous styles of therapy that are tailor-made to each individual client and the issues they desire to change in their lives.
