Introduction

Welcome! I appreciate your interest in my services offered. I have about 6 years of experience as a counselor, and I truly love this work. I have a particular affinity for working with others who, like me, are queer, trans, neurodivergent, & plural. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about my own affinity groups & my level of familiarity with yours too. In the beginning of our sessions, we'll focus on ensuring immediate needs are met, such as safe connections with others, helpful routines, stabilization skills, & building trust in the therapeutic relationship. Over time, we'll dig deep into what drives your feelings and behaviors. We'll come to understand where you might have unmet needs (past or present) and how to build a meaningful & connected life. I ground my work in current research on affective neuroscience, relational attachment & the mind-body connection. My primary focus is offering healing experiences that promote deep change through memory reconsolidation. In order to do so, I draw from a handful of sources such as relational psychoanalytic theory, somatic interventions, and theories of decolonization and abolition. I'm happy to share more about each of these to whatever extent you'd like. Areas of specialty include trauma survivors, those with personality disorders, those with medically unexplained somatic symptoms, and those with dissociative disorders, including DID. I'm a student of Somatic Experiencing (advanced level), clinical hypnosis (ASCH Level 1 completed), AEDP (Level 1 completed), and ISSTD's Professional Training Program. I have an active waitlist for clients seeking psychotherapy sessions. Current expected wait times are approximately 3 months, but I'm happy to meet anytime for a short consultation. I also offer professional consultation services in my areas of specialty for other licensed professionals in the field. I am committed to promoting accessibility of services. I welcome conversations about reduced rates or recommended social services in the community. Don't hesitate to reach out. I'm happy to help in whatever way I can.
