Christen Chiles enjoys working with individuals in various life stages from early adolescents to college students to adults. She has experience dealing with grief, development through life stages, self-exploration, anxiety, depression, and working with the LGBTQ+ communities along with clients on the Autism spectrum. Christen approaches counseling through an integrated, trauma informed lens. She works with her clients to help them explore their thoughts, behaviors, and emotions with the goal for them to become more integrated persons. As a counselor, Christen utilizes the follow theories and modalities: Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative-Story work, Crisis Counseling, and Family Dynamics theories. Christen walks alongside her clients to aid them in experiencing restoration from the brokenness within their lives. Christen identifies as a Christian, and she is passionate about allowing her clients to wrestle with God, their questions, and His holy scripture. She encourages her clients to explore their faith and see how God can step into their current situation. Christen is aware that some have experienced the Bible being misused by abusive spiritual leaders, and she is sensitive to this for her clients. She asks for clients’ consent before exploring spiritual matters in the counseling room. With this said, Christen is passionate about meeting with people of all beliefs. Jamie Christen Chiles is Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a Board Certified-TeleMental Health Provider, and a Certified Autism-Informed Professional.
