I am incredibly passionate about my work and lead with empathy, understanding, acceptance and respect. The decision to start therapy is a brave first step towards a more empowered life and I am committed to fostering trust in a safe environment, while working collaboratively to support your individual healing process. I work primarily with those struggling with eating disorders and disordered eating. I am committed to helping you make peace with food and your body in a society that normalizes these behaviors. I work from a social justice oriented, trauma-informed and Health at Every Size (HAES) framework. I believe that to achieve freedom, we must examine the ways in which we have been harmed by weight stigma, fatphobia and external systems. You are the expert of your own experiences. In our work together, I will support you in building trust with yourself and your body while examining the ways past experiences, and societal standards, may have disrupted your ability to do so. My therapeutic style is warm, genuine and non-judgemental. I lead with compassion and openness. I believe our relationship is fundamental to the healing process. I value transparency, authenticity, collaboration and am always open to feedback.
