I view therapy as an integral relationship between the client and therapist. Therapy provides a safe place to explore thoughts, reactions, and feelings about people and events in your life. My experience and expertise are the tools I have to offer. I believe through self-discovery and acceptance one can overcome any obstacle set before them. I find that a relationship with you can be a unique opportunity to guide you by offering my observations, inquiries, and healthy alternatives to issues that may arise. Teamwork within this relationship is essential to achieving your goals. I enjoy the work I do and I look forward to working with you. I received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Minor in Visual Communications in 2005 from Loyola University Chicago and a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2010 from University of Central Oklahoma. I am trained in a variety of therapy modalities and utilize Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), play therapy, holistic, and art-based interventions with clients of all ages who struggle with mental health, substance use, trauma or a combination of the three (co-occurring issues). I am also open to working with couples in matters related to parenting, family dynamics, and couples/families struggling with mental illness, addiction, and trauma within their family. My past clinical work includes serving as Assistant Clinical Director at A Chance to Change, an outpatient behavioral health agency providing care to all ages struggling with mental health, addiction, and co-occurring disorders. I’ve presented at clinical trainings, conferences, community health fairs, businesses, and on TV, radio, and social media platforms, centering on addiction and mental health prevention, awareness, and education.
