Introduction

ELEVATE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH & WELLNESS, Inc. (EBHW, Inc.) was officially founded to answer the call and need for compassionate and transformative care. ~~~ Introduction ~~~ Welcome! My name is Ingrid and I am passionate about behavioral health and overall wellness. Born into a family of nurses, trained in biology, counseling and integrative nutrition, I am uniquely skilled to present a multi-modal, holistic approach to wellness. This approach invites clients to explore the condition of their spheres of life and what they are willing to implement to move towards thriving. Many of the interventions I use with my clients, I use in my own life and have experienced transformative growth and healing. My approach is eclectic, borrowing from several evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral, person-centered and motivational interviewing. Clients will find my presence as compassionate, encouraging, and challenging via use of questions that expands their perspective towards courageous action. My mission is to support people in cultivating thriving spirituality as well as healthy minds, healthy bodies and healthy lives. ~~~ GETTING STARTED with Therapy Services ~~~ The first step is to give the offices of ELEVATE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH & WELLNESS, Inc. (EBHW, Inc.) a call or send an email expressing interest in exploring therapy services. During our initial contact, I will schedule or complete a brief (approximately 15 minute) consultation to see if we are a good fit for one another. If you reach the office voicemail, please leave a message. I will call you back in 24-48 hours during business hours to schedule a consultation or appointment. The office is open Mondays to Thursdays. If it is determined that we are a good fit for working together, I will send you a link which will prompt you to login and input your payment information. This is the card that will be automatically charged each time you have an appointment. Once, you have inputted your payment information on the secure client portal, I will send an appointment time from your selected availability and an intake packet via email. The packet will need to be completed and submitted 48 hours before the initial appointment. If you are unable to complete the forms 48 hours before the appointment, please call to cancel with 24-hour notice to avoid a cancellation or no show fee. You can reschedule the appointment after submitting the necessary forms. During the first appointment, you can expect approximately 60-80 minute period of assessment questions to review any history that is contributing to the present day concerns you may want to work on or improve. Some time will be spent exploring the objectives you would like to achieve and what I will be able to provide during your time in counseling. Together, we will come up with goals for your treatment and determine how often you will have sessions (weekly or bi-weekly). ~~~ What We Treat ~~~ EBHW, Inc. provides behavioral health counseling for mild to moderate levels of depression, anxiety, stress or grief. Though coaching and psychotherapy share some common ground, there are distinct differences. The following sections compare and contrast these disciplines. ~~~ COACHING ~~~ A coach helps individuals identify, clarify, and achieve personal goals and aspirations. Coaching provides the client with necessary support, challenge, and guidance. Coaches help their clients learn through action. Coaches collaborate with their clients in the service of the client’s self-discovery and achieving the client’s personally chosen goals. A coach asks questions that lead the client to their own workable solutions. The coach helps the client tap into their own biggest dreams and deepest desires. Any goal is balanced with the clients’ other values. Coaches help clients turn their dreams into action. Because the spirit of coaching is experimental, it uses setbacks as opportunities to learn. Coaching employs a playful, creative approach to discovery even when navigating tough issues. If a coaching client demonstrates signs of significant psychological distress, psychotherapy will be recommended, and appropriate referrals will be made. Because coaching is not covered by health insurance policies, coaching is a self-pay or an out of pocket service. Payments are made in advance. ~~~ PSYCHOTHERAPY ~~~ Psychotherapy aims to treat clinical issues such as depression, anxiety, phobias, trauma, eating disorders, addictions and other significantly distressing problems. Psychotherapy begins with an evaluation and diagnosis. This may include diagnostic interviewing, testing, and a review of contributing historical factors. Treatment may involve specific approaches, structured experiences or homework assignments designed to reduce or relieve specific symptoms. Therapy is usually considered complete when initial symptoms are mostly resolved or eliminated. Most psychotherapy is covered by health insurance since it is a medical service. Some therapists take insurances, while many do not. _________________________________________________________________ Ready to take the next step?
