Imani Parks-Williams (she/her) has her roots in the South however she received her graduate education in New England, having recieved her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of New Haven and currently continuing her studies in Couseling Psychology at Springfield College. Imani has experience providing psychotherapy to clients across the lifespan including children, adoslecents, and adults with diverse needs including but not limited to mood, identity and interpersonal issues. Imani has a special interest in working with individuals struggling with chronic mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, psychotic disorders, addiction, post traumatic stress, and other persistent concerns. Imani is passionate about social justice and hopes her work will increase access to mental health care within the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities. Her approach to counseling is rooted in existential therapy which helps people understand and address their struggles by making meaning throughout. Imani is a major supporter of the arts and welcomes clients to bring in their own art as it speaks to who they are and what their experience has been in life.
