I am a licensed Psychotherapist in private practice in New York State & Floridia. I also hold a license in Clinical Social Work (LCSW) from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. I offer telehealth video sessions for residents in both states. My treatment modality is psychodynamic oriented which draws attention to unconscious thoughts and feelings, as well as how our past experiences affect our present day functioning. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice which helps to find healthier ways of perceiving our selves, others, and circumstances. CBT helps to identify thoughts, feelings, behaviors and looks at how these are connected. CBT helps you become aware of inaccurate or negative thinking so you can view challenging situations more clearly and respond to them in a more effective way. The behavioral interventions I use teach skills for effective coping, communication, self care, and symptom relief. The goal is to enable you to feel safe enough to explore the obstacles that might be preventing you from living your best life. I work towards encouraging an atmosphere of safety and trust in which you can feel comfortable to freely express feelings, thoughts, and experiences. My philosophy and approach to therapy involves warmth, honesty and directness. I bring humor, insight, intuition, understanding and commitment to my work. I truly love what I do and feel honored to work alongside others on their journey towards becoming their best selves. I accept Aetna, Cigna, United Healthcare, Oscar, and Oxford insurances and I'm out of network with all others.
