Holly Hughes
Introduction
Holly Hughes is the CEO of HH & Co. and is a highly accomplished behavioral health leader, well known in California for her ability to execute large-scale initiatives in complex environments. She has a proven record of working with medical, behavioral health, and substance use disorder treatment leaders and brings a boots-on-the-ground perspective to complex care initiatives. All her system-change work is rooted in integration principles, emphasizing true collaboration among disciplines. She is a faculty member of the Institute for Healthcare Communication, and an experienced motivational interviewing (MI) trainer, both of which inform her strategies as a highly effective Clinician, supervisor. and practice coach. Over the years Holly has witnessed strengths and struggles of her patients and has learned that inequity is a root cause of suffering and often a barrier to health and resilience. She leads a team of Clinicians whose mission it is to create access to quality, empathic care for all. In her therapy services and in her system improvement work, she holds the individual experience at the center of her awareness. She’s a member of the LGBTQI community, and she's an ally and an advocate dedicated to shifting systemic racism and other types of oppression to support the health and wellbeing of the community.
