HeRo Mental Health Services was born out of an identified need for quality care at an accessible price. We believe that mental health services should be offered to anyone seeking help, and as such, we offer a variety of options to meet our community’s needs. Because of this belief, you can expect to be treated as a human, and not as a number, at HeRo Mental Health Services. Because of a growing shift in the industry, HeRo Mental Health Services offers virtual mental health counseling sessions to each of our clients, and will be offering in-person services once a suitable location has been established. If you’re someone who has been thinking about starting your mental health journey, but you are concerned about any of the details surrounding it, please feel free to reach out to us for a free consultation. We are more than willing to explain our therapeutic process with you and what you can expect from your experience at HeRo Mental Health Services. Michael is someone who believes that mental health therapy should be an open dialogue and not a series of check boxes. He works with his clients to accomplish goals that they feel are important and employs a variety of techniques to ensure that they are making progress toward what they believe to be important outcomes. This includes the use of techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness, Reality Therapy, and Existential Therapy, among a variety of other interventions. During a session with Michael, clients can expect to feel supported, heard, and understood without judgment, and can know they have an ally walking through life with them instead of a leader guiding their next move. Michael makes his clients aware that he is not an expert on their lives, but that he is simply making observations about their experience. Tonee is a kind and caring person who has always put her clients’ needs at the forefront of her therapeutic process. She works to meet their needs in a variety of ways, including using techniques from Person-Centered Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Existential Therapy, and takes an integrative, trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and strength-based approach. Throughout her career as a mental health therapist, she has ensured that her clients feel supported, valued, and seen; and she has built herself a reputation as being a provider that is willing to “go the extra mile” to ensure that her clients are succeeding in multiple areas of life. She offers her clients a calming presence as they navigate the uncertainty of life’s journey, and she is always willing to meet their needs in whatever manner within her abilities.
