Introduction

Helen is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Masters Certified Addiction Professional with a wealth of experience helping adults, teens, families, and couples find healing and recovery. She is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional which has given her the foundation and knowledge in supporting clients that have experienced traumas. Helen utilizes evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and trauma informed care to create personalized treatment plans for each client. Helen's academic background stems from completing a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and minored in Political Studies at the University of Central Florida. While working at Lakeside Behavioral (now known as Aspire Health Partners), she went on to complete her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Argosy University in Sarasota. Her journey in the mental health field began in 2010 as she dedicated herself to providing compassionate and effective care. Her previous experiences include acute behavioral health hospitals, residential treatment programs, correctional facilities, and private practice. She has refined her leadership skills as a Clinical Program Manager for an adult residential facility. She has invested continued education giving her a unique understanding of the challenges our clients face.
