When individuals experience severe life stressors or repeated exposure to traumatic situations, the unraveling of their lives is common. Providing therapeutic services to first responders, law enforcement, and correctional staff is my specialty. Over the years I have been privileged in working alongside countless courageous uniformed and non-uniformed individuals who, in the line of duty, have been repeatedly exposed to traumatic events. Frequently, the most likely consequence is cumulative PTSD. Unfortunately, many in the field are not aware that cumulative PTSD exists and that their personal struggles may actually be symptoms. I assist my clients in realigning healthy perceptions of themselves, develop resilient coping skills, and cultivate healthy relationships. Considering that no single treatment modality is the correct approach for every person, I have been trained in and utilize a range of therapeutic modalities, striving to continually learn and advance in an effort to provide my clients with the best care possible. I've had the opportunity of working in the field of counseling and psychology since 2009 in federal, state, and private agencies. My educational background includes a PhD in Psychology from Walden University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and an MA in Criminal Justice Administration with the emphasis of Counseling in Corrections from Boise State University in Boise, Idaho.
