Welcome! Thanks for taking this first step! I earned my Bachelor’s Degree at the University of Miami in Psychology. Then went on to earn my Master’s Degree in Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. My passion is working with individuals and couples. My goal is to improve your well-being and impact each of you by planting seeds of hope, self-love, and acceptance. I want to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. You are not alone! In therapy, we can work together to undue some of those negative self-bashing thoughts, become self-aware of when it happens, learn healthy thinking patterns to help you feel better and strengthen your communication skills so you can express your needs and wants. Individual Therapy: Although I tailor my approach to fit the needs of each client, the theoretical approach I utilize is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered Techniques. I assist my clients to become self-aware and identify the negative cognitive distortions that are causing fear, stress, uncertainly, self-doubt, and anger. I love to teach clients skills to undue the default pathways and to develop more positive and healthy thinking patterns. Couples: My Couple’s Therapy approach is influenced by the Gottman Method. It’s effective treatment that helps improve marital relationships, adjustment, and intimacy. My goal is that you learn effective communication skills, learn to be empathetic, remove barriers that lead to conflict and increase affection.
