Introduction

As a co-creator of wellness, my practice endorses the art of personalized healing. My compassionate, creative, client-centered focus draws from the wisdom of several established disciplines to facilitate optimal health through the application of techniques derived from psychological, counseling, mindfulness, multicultural philosophy, spiritual counseling and the expressive arts. My practice builds upon an individual's strengths, enhances expression and increases personal insight and well-being. Ultimately, my goal is to facilitate a safe, trusting and peaceful space in which my clients can heal, grow and ultimately thrive. Heidi Dudgeon is an artist with a BA in cultural anthropology and MA in Counseling with supplementary clinical training in wellness, health psychology, pain management and grief and loss. She has been a gallery-represented painter and a champion of the healing properties of art-making, instructing expressive arts classes for children for many years. As an amateur screenwriter, Heidi has been professionally recognized for her comedic writing. Heidi has a strong professional interest in using multicultural, expressive, wellness and integrative approaches. In 2012, Heidi edited a manuscript on healing though painful divorce.
