Heather Zinna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1996 from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the LSU School of Social Work in 1999. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Approved Clinical Supervisor, and a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor. Prior to beginning private practice in 2014, Heather held various positions in Head Start and owned her own business, Toddlearn, which focused on the social and emotional well-being of children. Both believed children learn best through play. She is currently in private practice, Playful Hearts Therapy, where she specializes in Child Centered and Integrated Play Therapy and sees primarily children 0-12 years old and their families. Heather has experience in AutPlay, Theraplay, TBRI, CPRT, CPP, TF-CBT and working with Neurodivergent children. Heather is a member of APT and LAPT as well as a past member of the LAPT board. Heather loves working with young children and is excited to educate and collaborate with other professionals.
