Heather Stanley is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) with 20+ years professional experience, 15 of which have been in private practice. She provides mental health counseling for adults, children, adolescents, and families. Work Experience In the past, Mrs. Stanley was a Psychotherapist for Villa Maria after School Program where she provided individual, group and family therapy. She also attended school meetings, helped with IEP's and school behavioral management. Then she went on to Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital to start and run the Victims of Criminal Acts Program. This program was a grant funded program which focused on therapy for children and families that had been a victim of a violent crime. Besides therapy the program provided support and advocacy to victims at court and all levels of the legal system. While at Mt Washington Pediatric Hospital, she started working in private practice in Owings Mills and Dundalk. For the past 10 years, she has been exclusively private practice where her work has continued to focus on children and families needs. Ms. Stanley also has a certification as an Autism Specialist (CAS). Has been involved in a community organizations and given trainings on Autism. In the past 10 years has also become involved in high conflict divorce and help families navigate that very difficult time. Education Heather completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with honors from Salisbury State University in 1996. She then obtained her Master’s degree from University of Maryland, at Baltimore in clinical Social Work specializing in Child and Family Therapy in 1998. Certification in Autism. Trained in collaborative divorce.
