Introduction

Hi, My name is Heather Ridge. It is a privilege to cross paths with you. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor with 8 years of experience, and I identify as a Highly Sensitive Person. I specialize in working with folx ages 18+ who navigate the world through a sensitive lens. Perhaps you notice yourself experiencing deep thoughts coupled with strong feelings. Changes in your environment, social interactions, and people’s moods may feel overwhelming. Perhaps you tune in quickly to others’ needs while navigating the experience of feeling sensitive, shy, or struggling with self-esteem. When too much is going on at once you may retreat to a quiet place for a sense of relief. You might notice yourself trying to manage heightened anxiety and uncertainty in an ever-changing world. You don't need to be a ‘soloist’ navigating this human experience. We not only survive on connection, collaboration, and community - we thrive on it! I currently offer Telehealth/Video counseling to residents of North Carolina and South Carolina. I accept BCBS, Aetna, and UHC/Optum for residents of North Carolina. I accept private pay only for residents of South Carolina. Please reach out to inquire about sliding scale availability. Please contact me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation call to determine if I am the right fit for you.
