Introduction

I am not accepting new clients and do not have a waitlist. My website will be updated when I have openings. I offer free phone consults once I have openings before meeting. Counseling is self-work and can be created by what you want and need. We will work together to tackle the issues you feel are impacting your life. I am licensed in Rhode Island, New York, and Vermont (RI #MHC01033, NY #012682, VT# 068.0135547). I am doing telehealth in RI and VT and telehealth and in-person in NY. I work with a variety of ages and have extensive experience working with children and adolescents. I have been trained in EMDR, various trauma and somatic approaches, Family-Based Eating Disorder Treatment, CBT-Enhanced for Eating Disorders, Eating Disorder Harm Reduction, TF-CBT, and DBT. I also tend to use emotional and person-centered approaches, ACT, liberation, and a Harm Reduction lens. I believe in HAES, however have deep concerns. I tend to utilize a holistic view of mental health and think of treatment beyond talking! Movement, sleeping, eating enough, processing oppression, creativity, routine, & socializing can improve mental health. I am very supportive of the LGBTQIA community and identify as queer. I was a former teen mother, single mother, and have been on public assistance/welfare for most of my adult life. I have done a lot of work around my own privilege and oppression including race, ethnicity, ability/disability, class, heterosexism, cisgenderism, immigration status, and more. Sessions are $125 (or contact me about sliding scale and insurance options). I'm very aligned with the LGBTQ population, sex workers, and people in poverty. I was trained as a Birth Doula through DONA in 2011 and as a child birth educator through GentleBirth in 2019. My aim is to bring that type of support & work to adolescent and young parents, immigrants/refugees, LGBTQ parents, and single parents. I work with you as far as pay/barter/trade goes. I am also getting trained as a Full Spectrum Doula through Birthing Advocacy Doula Training (https://www.badoulatrainings.org/). A doula is someone who provides support and advocacy to a person who is pregnant. - Birth doulas can provide non-medical interventions to help the birth process feel more empowering, Birth doulas can be there with you at birth and support a few visits postpartum, and provide resources. - Abortion doulas provide emotional, physical, and mental support and resources for someone who chooses to have an abortion (before, during, after abortion). - Postpartum doulas provide emotional and mental support after birth during while parent/s are entering parenthood. I am also a yoga instructor through the Yoga & Ayurveda Center/Online Yoga School (RYT® 200). I also have 2 years of experiencing co-leading a trauma-informed yoga group at a RI agency with people of all ages. I utilize yoga with my clients all of ages in their healing and treatment.
