Introduction

Hi, I'm Alex! I work to ensure that you know that you are competent, worthy, heard and truly are the expert in your own life. My philosophy is that I am the gentle “guide on the side”. I work hard at building rapport and look at all aspects of your life to find your strengths to help you through whatever concerns you are facing. In addition, I find great benefit in using humor and will try to help you see the positives in whatever situation they may be persevering through. I have experience working with individuals (including children), families, and groups to help cope with issues such as mental illness, life transitions, decrease in mental/physical functioning and capacity, grief/loss/bereavement, divorce, suicide, self injurious behavior, LGBTQIA+, and trauma.
