Harmony Carlson is a licensed psychologist and the founder and president of The Nest, a boutique mental health and wellness clinic serving the Stillwater community since 2016. Her practice is rooted in the belief that healing is both an evidence-based process and a deeply human one—and she has spent nearly two decades helping clients navigate the places where science, emotion, and meaning intersect. Harmony specializes in perinatal mental health, working closely with individuals and families as they face the unique challenges of pregnancy, postpartum transitions, IVF, reproductive loss, and grief. She also supports women through the complex physical and emotional changes of perimenopause, menopause, and midlife shifts. Her approach draws on research-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and interpersonal therapy, tailored with care to each person’s unique story. In addition to her clinical specialties, Harmony brings a distinctive nature-informed approach to therapy, deeply influenced by the principles of ecopsychology, mindfulness-based ecotherapy, and biophilic design. Her office—often described by clients as a sanctuary—incorporates natural light, flowing water, live plants, organic textures, calming scents, and earth-toned decor to create a sensory-rich environment that mirrors the restorative effects of nature. This biophilic therapy space fosters nervous system regulation, grounded presence, and emotional openness. Whether through the quiet healing of a nature-immersed setting or the structured clarity of evidence-based tools, Harmony supports clients in reconnecting with their inner strength, values, and self-trust. As a mother of five boys—one of whom she holds in her heart—she brings both lived experience and deep compassion to her work. “Like wildflowers; you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people never thought you would.” — E.V. Clients often say that the healing begins the moment they walk through the door.
