Introduction

Growing up as an only child in two culturally different households was tough. It feels like you’re always shape shifting in order to make everyone else more comfortable. Never really getting a chance to relax into yourself. This left me on high alert, my mind on overdrive, and constantly second guessing all of my decisions. I didn’t know who I was, I was stuck feeling depleted and anxious to make any moves for fear I would seem foolish, or worse, fail. I’m Hannah Poe Klaassen, 28-year-old Licensed Professional Counselor #80340 in Denton, TX. I became a therapist so I can help people who feel lost, whip those nagging voices in their head into shape. I can help you challenge the unhealthy patterns you’ve gotten into because of doubt, shame, and believing the haters. I can do this because I’ve been stuck and unaware of who I was or where I was going, especially when I realized I had ADHD. After taking a long journey vacationing in multiple careers and fields of study: teaching high school, yoga, and even college, bartending, enneagram courses, learning about spirituality, working in a health foods store, I’ve realized knowing “all” of the things is not what helps us learn who we are. Being a therapist for the past 3 years has taught me that some of these things are useful… and most of them are distractions from reaching my goals. That’s where my relationship with client’s comes in, I help you put up the bumper guards (yes from bowling) to keep you in the lane traveling toward your goals. If you’re like me, asking yourself who you are, where you’re going, and if you have the ability to get there, let’s talk. Book a free consultation so we can work to make sure the past stays in the past and the future can unfold to let you become exactly who you are meant to be.
