Introduction

My specialty is working with men who are coping with trauma, especially veterans, formerly incarcerated individuals, and officers. I’ve been working in the therapy/social work field for over 6 years. Most recently, I provided mental health treatment to incarcerated folks at the Monroe Correctional Complex. During this work, I also volunteered on the CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team, now known as the Response Stress Team (RST). While on this team, I worked alongside fellow correctional staff members, mostly officers, to provide peer support after traumatic incidents. Before that, I helped unhoused veterans find housing and other resources through the VASH program and interned at the municipal mental health court in Seattle. I enjoy helping my clients meet their goals of strengthening their relationships and coping with stress. My approach to therapy is grounded in a humanistic and strengths-based perspective, emphasizing empathy, collaboration, and non-judgment. I integrate a variety of therapeutic modalities such as mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic approaches to tailor therapy to your unique needs. Incorporating mind-body connection and considering environmental influences are integral aspects of my practice to support clients in achieving holistic well-being. Respecting and honoring cultural diversity is essential in my work to create a safe and inclusive space for individuals from all backgrounds. I am committed to continuous learning and staying updated on the latest research to ensure that my clients receive the highest quality of care.
