Introduction

My name is Gurkiran k. Singh, founder and owner of Holistic Haven Counseling. I always knew I wanted to help people, and obtained a bachelor's in biomedical science, thinking the only way I could help was to become a doctor. That is furthest from the truth! Mental health is one of the most valid and underrecognized forms of treatment available to the world. Upon exploring other avenues, I became fascinated with the mind, and how it works. From there I fell into how personal, biological, and social settings may impact individuals so uniquely. This led me to pursue my master's in clinical mental health counseling at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology.
