Sherry Lee has worked with children and parents as a School Counselor in the public school system for 27 years. During that time, she worked with children to address school and behavior problems, grief and loss, stress, anxiety, school phobia, anger management, self-esteem issues, trauma, ADHD, autism, and other mental health disorders. For two and half years, she worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor for a private practice providing counseling to children, teen, adults, and couples. Sherry earned her Advanced Certificate in Counseling In 2016, Master's Degree in 1996, and her bachelor’s in psychology in 1992. All her degrees were earned from Virginia Commonwealth University. Sherry is currently working on her Ph.D. in Marriage and Family Counseling at Regent University. Sherry also worked as an intensive in-home counselor and parenting coach for almost three years where she conducted numerous family sessions and utilized a variety of approaches to assist client and address mental health needs. She has worked with a variety of diagnoses including conduct disorder, ADHD, autism, ODD, anxiety, phobias, depression, and adjustment disorder. She has also worked with couples in couples counseling. Sherry utilizes a variety of modalities (Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Personal-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Exposure Therapy). Sherry is constantly trying to perfect her counseling skills to meet the needs of her clients. "I believe that every client is unique, and I am here to guide you in order to help you make progress".
