I grew up in New York City during the AIDS crisis. A time when it was dangerous to be "different." Without family or social support, school was a nightmare. I never fit in or felt "normal." I struggled with my identity for years, experiencing depression, anxiety, and shame. I was profoundly alone. Eventually, I found an incredible therapist who taught me how to accept and love myself unconditionally. That life was more than just survival. I could thrive and be happy! I was so inspired that I became a practitioner to fulfill my lifelong dream of helping others find their way forward. My Clients I provide a safe, healing space for individuals struggling with issues stemming from anxiety, depression, anger, identity, chronic illness, trauma, abuse, neglect, and many others. I am skilled at working with a variety of populations and have a deep appreciation for those with ethnic and culturally diverse backgrounds. I am devoted to those recovering from all forms of childhood trauma. Our stories may differ, however, feelings are universal. Whatever your story is, you can share it with me, and we can help you be your happiest and most authentic self. If you want to learn more about how I can help, please send me a message. My Approach I take a trauma-informed, client-centered approach in a dynamic therapy style that utilizes a variety of theories and models to tailor individualized treatment just for you. My Values I am kind and empathetic. I am human and see us as a team working together to help you meet and exceed your goals. I value human dignity and work hard to help my clients realize their worth. I am non-judgmental. I listen. I guide toward solutions. Congratulations on taking this step toward healing and growth. I look forward to hearing from you. ~Griffin~ “I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” ~Albert Einstein
