Introduction

Dr. Gold Okoeka is a doctorally trained psychiatric nurse practitioner who is board certified by the ANCC to diagnose psychiatric disorders, develop a treatment plan and prescribe psychiatric medications to patients of all ages. She loves to treat clients with depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, sleep issues, PTSD and psychotic disorders. She also enjoys working with women in the perinatal stages. She is caring, compassionate and a great listener. Dr. Gold has about 10 years of psychiatric/mental health experience, in various roles, working in nursing homes, outpatient clinics as well as inpatient psychiatry at the state’s level one trauma hospital, Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Gold graduated with a Master's degree as a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP from Northeastern University in Boston MA. She then proceeded to obtain a Doctorate degree in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She accepts BCBS, Aetna, UHC commercial and student plans, NHP commercial plans, UMR, Harvard Pilgrim, Medicare and cash payments.
