I believe that each person is unique in their needs and life context and am committed to the idea that each person is worthy of equality, respect, and dignity. Through caring honest dialog, I believe in a collaborative approach to discerning the most effective way of working to resolve the challenges life presents. Each person is much more than a “set of symptoms” and must be seen as full complex humans within the larger context and circles in which they live, to fully understand the source of challenges and difficulties that they may be experiencing. I have a passion for exploration and finding the root of problems that occur. I believe in an eclectic therapy approach, discerning with each client how they learn and integrate change into their lives. I believe strongly in building psychological flexibility and fitness to improve our resilience. I favor the use of dialog and focus on the moment in learning to be happier and healthier in all areas of life. I am a life long learner and career changer, who graduated from the University of Texas at Arlington School of Social Work with a Master of Social Work. I have particular experience working with intimate partner violence, anger/aggression, and trauma. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the American Psychological Association, the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science, and the America Society for Quality.
